In response to customer demand for a powerful, lightweight LED alternative to the dull factory headlights on XR650L motorcycles, the off-road experts at 4StrokesUnlimited (aka XRsOnly.com) have adapted the Baja Squadron Pro, a unique, bolt-on solution that boasts 4,300 lumens, roughly 3x the brightness of standard XR650L headlights.
Mounted on a custom headlight plate that fills the space of the factory headlight, four ultra-bright LED lamps provide increased trail visibility and draws less power. We also offer an edgy, custom look that many riders are looking for to set themselves apart. The headlight is for off-road only (not DOT approved) but, an optional Hi-Lo dimmer switch is available (sold separately).
"LED lighting is hot right now and we’re the first in the industry to develop a custom setup for the XR650L motorcycle,” says XRs Only racing veteran Tommy Russell. “The advantage of the brighter LEDs is their ability to illuminate terrain farther down the trail. This is very important allowing more time for a rider to react to obstacles in his/her paths. Plus these lights just look badass,” he adds.
INSTALLATION: Simple!!!!
Step #1: Just remove the OEM glass len from the headlight brackets, and replace with our custom headlight base plate that houses the Squadron Pro. Dont froget the remove the outter rubber gaskit from the glass lens and install it onto your new headlight base plate. The base plate will adjust the same as the glass lens did, same harware, just a much better light source.
Step #2: Change out the OEM headlight connector pins for the Squadron Pro connector pins (provided with light) and your done, flip that switch!!!! Special note, you're going to use on the high beam and ground wires for the installation conversion. Just tape back the low beam wire.
Step #3: Wipe those tears away from your face, you'll never be left in the dark again!
