Honda CRF230L
The Honda CRF230L began its life in the 2008 model year and is highly similar to the Honda CRF230F. While there are a few obvious differences, such as the addition of blinkers, a speedometer and subsequent weight, there is also an extended frame. So, don't go thinking the street legal offering from Honda will kindly accept many of the related parts its 230F brethren easily accepts. The extended frame allows for better ride and handling upon the asphalt highways and less to the tight trails, but nevertheless, the compromise is an appreciated and welcomed for many. The dual sport 230L is an excellent fit for commuters who wouldn't be caught dead on a scooter and wants something that is capable of adventure in the dirt. The street legal CRF is at home amid in the RV community, particularly for those who aren't willing or able to throw their leg over its big bore brethren, the XR650L.
