A talented engineer and ski racer living in Sun Valley, Idaho, Ed Scott invented the first tapered aluminum ski pole, which replaced the sport's existing use of bamboo and steel ski poles and gave birth the company in 1958. Some years later in 1970, SCOTT entered the motocross scene with the first-ever dirt bike-specific goggles. SCOTT then followed with a list of innovative efforts in the powersports industry, including riding boots, grips and a host of accessories. In 1971, SCOTT introduced the first foam ventilated goggles. The evolution of SCOTT USA has led the industry leader to be a top-notch manufacturer of skis, goggles, mountain bikes, snowboards, dirt bike handlebar grips, running shoes, apparel, gear bags, packs, sun glasses and a host of other hot products.
